Tuesday evenings proceedings saw two new visitors to Orangefield. Multi Tour De France Stage Winner, Barry Hoban dropped in to run his eye over proceedings, and British Cycling Talent Team Member Conor Bunn (VC Londres), an Under 14 rider, played an active part in the proceedings.

Yet another fine evening greeted the track cyclists attending the session at Orangefield, and as usual the proceedings were dominated by youth riders.

In the Senior ranks newcomer Chris Smyth (Banbridge CC) ran out the fastest in the 1 lap TT, narrowly edging out Marty Henderson, with Marty reversing the positions in the 200m Time Trial.

Banbridge lad Mark Downey was quickest in the Under 12 TT, whilst Laura Casey was fastest Under 14 girl and Jonny Beers (XMTB) was fastest Under 16, and fastest overall.

A glorious evening saw another good attandance at Orangefield on Tuesday 22nd May for an evenings Track Training. Once again Youth riders were in the majority, with new faces including Under 10s Shenna McKiverigan from Banbridge and Aimee Ogilby from XMTBCC.

Belfast City Council have been busy getting the track in shape, and hopefully by next week we will see the venue fully ready to use for racing. With the track edges being cut back and the surrounding hedges to be cut and tidied up, the track is looking in its best shape for 30 years !!

With a mixture of Novice, Youth and experienced `trackies` turning up, events were split in to similar ability groups. Team Madigan were out in force, with four Youth riders taking part, David Neill, Richard Alexander, Mark Ramsey and Johnny Cole who have been regulars in the opening three weeks of training.

Once again XMTBs Johnny Beers prioved the fastest on the night, winning the 1 lap TT event
